Hello everyone,
Just a quick post of my latest creation:
I used a piece of aquamarine color cardstock and applied texture paste through flourish stencil. I added a few pearl here and there...
The tag was inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink using masking technique. I added a shabby bow with jumbo pearl and the same butterflies I used for masking. The sentiment is Stamplorations Vignette Trendy Feathers Stamp.
I am entering this card into following challenges:
613 Avenue Create Challenge #114 Anything Goes/ with a twist Aquamarine
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Things that Fly"
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "B is for ...." Butterfly
and
Stamplorations March Challenge I cased Deepti's card.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by....
Samra
03/15/15 UPDATE
I am honored to announce that my card made it to Top 3 at 613 Avenue Create :)
Another stunning cration. I love the colours you used on this card and the background you created with the texture paste is amazing. I really need to use that thing (teture paste) more and buy some more stencils. Very, very beautiful creation!

Thank you so much Maha :) I truly appreciate you taking time to visit and always leave me such a sweet comment :) I just recently bought some more stencils and always make texture paste based on our friend Pamellia's recipe. Trust me, way cheaper than buying the paste!
DeleteHugs my dear!
I know!!! I'm making my own paste too (I'm also using Pamellia's recipe). But I often forget to use it. *oooops* As fro stencils goes, I have 4 and they are nice, but I want a damask and/or swirly/flourish one too. Haven't found one like that here yet, but I'll keep my eyes open. :)
DeleteHugs! xx
tee hee, I heard my name! I am so honoured that you both have used texture paste, regardless of where you got the recipe! Mixed media is so much fun and I love watching artists break free and get messy with it!! big hugs to both of you! :)
DeleteWoow, Samra, this card is so beautiful! Fabulous texture and a clever idea with the butterflies! The Tumbled Glass ink perfectly matches the color of the cardstock! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs :)

Thank you my dear :) I am glad you like my little card. I wish I could make pretty stuff like you! Mine is just basic cardmaking, nothing revolutionary! YOU my friend are an artist! I hope to get at least somewhat close to your level one day :)
DeleteBeautiful Samra!! I love the how the texture paste came out with the stencil - mine always looks a mess :) You should totally enter this over at Mixed Media World, a new mixed media challenge blog :) hugs, Georgie xx
ReplyDeleteAwww Georgie :) Thank you so much, I did not think it was mixed media enough for it...but sure I'll do it! :)
DeleteAfter looking at entries for it, I changed my mind, since my card is not artsy and elaborate enough :( maybe some other project, but not this one...
DeleteBeautiful love the background colour and textured stencilling, gorgeous bow and love the butterflies

DeleteBeautiful card Samra! That background is gorgeous! Love the elegant butterflies fluttering about!
ReplyDeleteThank you sooo much Mona :)
DeleteThanks for your lovely comment on my journal cover yesterday. Looks like you have all the Tim stuff at hand judging by the products you use in your cards etc. You could make a cover like mine in colours of your choice. It does not have to be in browns! You even have the flourish stencil which I have on my wish list! Go for it and make it your own!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Belinda :) I appreciate you stopping by :)
DeleteHi Samra, this is another stunner! I am particularly drawn to the color! Probably my favorite (at least today--I love all color!) Your work with texture paste shows that steady, surgeon-like quality; just as clean as could be! I almost appears you have used the dimensional cutting pad with your butterflies, and I was beginning to get a little green with envy, because I cannot cut on a diagonal with my Big Kick--I found you have to have a larger machine to do that! :(:( No more money or room for big tools! But, you masked and layered! And what a fine job you did with that. It all looks so beautiful; another Samra favorite in my book! Hugs!
