City Crafter Challeng Blog Week #261 Focus on Flower(s)

Hello everyone,

it is time for a brand new challenge over at City Crafter Challenge Blog
Our host is Kirsty and she wants to see a project that has focus on flowers or a flower. To help you with inspiration, she chose this photo:


And here is what I created:


As you can tell, I was very inspired by this photo :)


Since I did not have any giant yellow buttons or pearls I decided to use hot glue and glitter to create centers of the flowers. I just put some hot glue in the center and immediately sprinkled it with yellow glitter and voila, there was my flower center :)


For the background I used a piece of green cardstock, added damask stencil texture paste, when it was dry I painted it with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Paints. I added some leaf branch diecuts colored with distress inks.


Some of the flowers were mounted on foam adhesive to give some extra dimension...

      Thank you Julie :) Had to be creative with those centers, since I did not have any sort of embellishments ready to be placed in the center of the flowers. Worked out pretty good I think :)

    Samra, you really nailed the daisies! I really thought to myself, "wow! Samra is really generous using all those Tim Holtz gumdrops!", and then I read you HAND MADE them! My Goodness, Samra, you are one creative artist! I love your background, too! Such a treat to look at! Big hugs!
