Hello everyone,
5th Birthday celebration continues at City Crafter Challenge Blog and this week our Stella is the host :)
We are CASEing her gorgeous card this time:
and this is what I made based on her card:
As soon as I saw Stella's card I thought NAUTICAL...so I made the card with lots of sea themed elements...
As you can see, there is lots of distressing, gesso, and seaside themed embellishments...
One more look at the finished card...
This week's Guest Designer is Lin Please stop by her fabulous blog to check out her work and also check out on City Crafter Challenge what my teammies have made :)
Stella is sponsoring this week's challenge and winner will get this fabulous goodies package
I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...
Ahhhh I ADORE nautical things, especially as my suns bedroom is kitted out in nautical to the hilt!! This is stunning Samra, I'm absolutely in love with this. The detail is spot on, the rope, the starfish, netting and shells - it's just perfect! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Georgie :) I am glad you like my little card :) It went to a young lady that just graduated from college, hopefully she likes it too...
DeleteNautical gets me every time ... I love it!! Fabulous card Samra!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you like my card Ros :)
DeleteThis is gorgeous Samra!! I just love that you used a starfish as the focal point instead of a normal star, how super creative!! Such beautiful embellishments too, love the twisted cheesecloth! Such a beautiful version of Stella's card. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much my friend! I try to use as much "real stuff" as possible in my projects, so I went with a real starfish rather than paper, turned out pretty good huh? :) See you on the dance floor my dear!
DeleteAbsolutely stunning card, Samra! I can smell the sea :) love the fabulous background and all the gorgeous details you added! Fantastic job, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHugs :)

You are so kind Julie :) Thank you so very much!
DeleteI was here this morning to enjoy your fabulous card and my computer froze right when I hit the publish button, so I'm back to say that I LOVE your inspirational take on the CASE card and really like that you adhered the starfish on the reverse side so we can see a different perspective, yet mirroring the above star...that looks incredible and your faux whitewashed and aged drift wood wall background looks AMAZING!! Beautiful card Samra.
ReplyDeleteLisa :)

DeleteI have a place in my heart for anything nautical. You nailed my card and gave it a lovely twist the way you cased it. I love that starfish; but all the embellishments are in fact gorgeous. Fab card Samra; wow!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that you like my take on your card :)

DeleteWow... what a beauty! Samra, this is a gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Linda!
DeleteLike so many here, I too am drawn to the sea but have regrettably been land-locked all my life. Your background is especially effective for carrying this theme and it looks as though you used real shells and a real starfish. The fabric textures really pull it all together. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! I did use the real starfish and shells :) I bought the starfish, but the shells are actually handpicked by me on the beach while on vacation :)
DeleteOh wow, Samra, this is absolutely stunning!! I love the nautical theme!! The starfish is awesome!! The rope knot on top is so creative and fabulous!! What a gorgeous card this is!! Love the background, too!! Have a great day :)

DeleteVery cool card, with the nautical knot, and that background is yummy! Thank you for all your recent comments on my blog! I was frantically trying to add a star to the Tim tag, which I forgot. Then computer crashed! uggh! I hear you on going broke on doing those tags. And I'm always a day late and a dollar short on those products! I hope you are doing well, my friend! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteHello my friend, thank you for stopping by :) I am glad that you like my card :)
DeleteBeautiful card Samra, love your weathered background and the amazing seaside embellishments, the addition of the knotted rope was perfection!
