Butterfly Card in Pastels

Hello everyone,

just a quick post of my latest creation:

For some reason uploaded pictures look way darker than colors in this card are...
I used following distress inks to create this card: Black Soot, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavander, Spun Sugar, also Antique Linen and Spun Sugar Distress Paints, Gesso and Clear Crackle Paint.

I have to show off my latest addition to the stencil collection :) This Prima corner stencil is amazing! I am a big fan of any damask pattern, to me they represent vintage elegance and beauty...

I placed butterflies in pattern from largest to smallest and decorated them with distress paints, crackle paint, ink and Tim Holtz script stamp..

One more view of the finished card...

I am entering this card into following challenges:

House of Cards "Add a Butterfly" (and of colors, I chose butterflies only for this entry)

Scrap Magic Moodboard #6 "Pastels"

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Pastels"

The Sisterhood of Crafters "Come Fly with Me"

and

Try it on Tuesday Challenge "They Who Have Wings"

I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

Samra

  2. My apologies for being delinquent in commenting on your recent cards - that album took all my time. But now I am here and all I can say is your recent cards are FAB-U-LOUS. Love the flying butterflies on this one and that corner stencil is lovely.

The card below with the nest is super and I know you made the eggs from crafter's clay but did you have a mold for it? If not, you sure managed to get them smooth.

The spring mixed media project is terrific with all the bits and bobs you added and the lovely bright colour palette.

    Have a Happy Easter.

    Hugs!
    Cec

Also, there's a known picture issue with Blogger. I'd been frustrated with the graying of my photos and read up on instructions from another blogger which fixed the problem immediately. It was super easy to do. Just do a Google search--you'll see lots of details on steps to fix it.
