Hello everyone,
I created a Christmas Card in rustic gold, black and tan tones:
This card was created using black cardstock and cardstock from Paper Studio Our Family Tree Stack. I matted every peace of patterned cardstock with a piece of black one and distressed all the layers.
The reindeer is a Cricut Quilted Christmas cutout silhouette embossed with rustic gold embossing powder and decorated with black and red rhinestones.
The sentiment was created on my PC and printed on a piece of Our Family Tree cardstock. The quadruple shabby bow was embellished with a jumbo black rhinestone. I used rustic gold seam binding ribbon to create the bow.
I am entering this card into following challenges:
City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #236 My Deer
Mojo Monday Challenge #370 with a sketch:
and
The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #239 Just Neutrals
with an inspiration photo
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

You know Samra....every time you make a card, I am positive that it's my absolute favourite...and then you make another one and blow the hair right off my head!! Seriously, I have no hair! WOW! This is just drop dead gorgeous! What an absolutely dreamy colour palette and your paper choices are so soft and subtle as to not draw the eye away from your focal point, but yet add character and interest! Let's talk about that focal point...your reindeer is exquisite! It's dainty and full of details, the gold embossing was genius! I am really loving what you did with the ribbon across the bottom, made a sort of swag, just lovely! You are such a creative crafter Samra and I'm honoured to call you friend! big hugs :)
ReplyDeleteAww Pamellia, you truly know how to make my day! Thank you so very much for your fabulous comment! It sure did make my heart sing! I was wondering if YOU would like this card since it did not really have much shabbiness, but I definitely wanted to make is rustic. I am so glad to hear that you approve. :) Big hugs my friend :)

Awww thank you Diane...I know..."Rustic"....I did not know how to call this style since it is not shabby chic, certainly not CAS and is missing some elegance to be called such, and since I used this darker gold embossing powder and distressed edges ALOT I figured I could call it rustic since it looks old...:) I am glad you like what I made :) Thank you so very much for visiting :)
