Love Card

Hello everyone,

I finally found some time to create a card and enter it in a few challenges:

My original thought was to create a shabby chic card, but as I started working on my heart embellishments and covered them with UTEE, I realized I had to go different direction with my style, so I am not quite sure if this card can fit the term "elegant" but it sure isn't shabby enough to call it shabby chic.
Anyways, I cut out the different size hearts using Cricut Damask Decor Cartridge and covered them with UTEE. I embossed the top layer card stock and covered it with two layers of UTEE. The corner embellishments were made with Martha Steward molds and covered with white crackle paint.

I used a piece of red tulle to create that wavy ribbon and the flower. Underneath it all are branches of Baby Breath. The white flower was hand made by me. :)

I created the sentiment on my PC using the font called The Shipped Goods and printed it on a piece of vellum. I cut it out in a shape of banner and attached it to a little frame created with Martha Stewart mold.

Couple more views of the finished card...

I am entering this card into following challenges:

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #238 Just a Word

and

Retrosketches #141

I hope you enjoyed this post.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

  1. Wow Samra, this is gorgeous! The layers of UTEE that you put over the damask and the hearts makes everything look like icing on a fancy wedding cake! Yummy! Excellent crackle on your corners and frame, yay to you for DIY!! I love that you used the tulle as a sort of runner for your hearts and babies breath, it's all so elegant and exactly how a wedding head table might look! Your flower turned out spectacular! Not a thing about this card I don't absolutely love! See you on the dance floor my friend! Have a great week as I'm off with my Mom come Sunday! hugs :)
