Hello everyone,
It is time for a brand new challenge at Scrapy Land and this time the theme is Monochromatic. I can't wait to see what you created for this challenge using dies that Scrapy Land sells.
Here is my creation:
I used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Lonely Hearts die to create that encased border, I learned that from Becca. It turned out pretty good for the first try I must say!
To create my layered design I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Squares Small, I actually used two squares to create a rectangle, but to make things easier you can certainly use Nestabilities Matting Basics B. I mounted Nestabilities Labels 43 and then interlocked two Shapeabilities Fancy Tags Two dies.
I added a shabby bow, some pearls and inked all the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
...and of course a keepsake box....my friend was very happy when she received this card :)
Now it is your turn to join in on the fun!!! Please stop by Scrapy Land and check out all the wonderful work my team mates have created for this challenge and get inspired even more!
I would like to enter this project into following challenges:
DL Art November Linky Challenge Anything Goes
Through The Crraft Room Door Challenge
I hope you enjoyed this post....
Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by...
Beautiful Samra!! The soft ivory is a difficult one for monochromatic, but you have pulled it off with flying 'colours'! HAHA, see what I did there...'colours' geddit? HAHA! A truly stunning card, so soft and dreamy. The border is so intricate, and I love the dies you used to showcase the sentiment too! Beautiful my friend! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI love that it says, "just a note" because it looks more like a formal invitation to a ball! Oh if only the little mice and birds could have delivered this stunningly gorgeous card to Cinderella while she was scrubbing the floor, she would have known for sure her life would take a turn for the better. Who needs a sparkly glass shoe when you can have paper as beautiful as this!! We should rewrite the story.... Tim Holtz can play the lead male role looking for a top designer to market his products.... ;)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to you Samra,
Lisa x
Wow, this looks amazing! Love the soft colors and the decorative edge is so elegant looking.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! I wondered how you made it, thank you for the description. Did you cut the border 4 times to adhere the edging on both the outside and inside? Or is the border just adhered on the outside, Samra? Beautiful design! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteI cut it 4 times to cover the seams.
