Fun Shabby Chic Birthday Card

Good Morning everyone,
I found a little bit of spare time in my super busy weekend schedule to make a card and enter it into 3 challenges! (Believe it or not)

I used inspiration pictures from The Shabby Tea Room Challenge Week #224 "Party Time";Scrap Club Kiev Quest #55 "Tenderness" and a sketch from Mojo Monday Challenge #351.

I tucked in embroidered white ribbon underneath top layer of the polkadot cardstock to give it extra shabbiness and embellished each corner with some jumbo white pearls.

The Air Balloon is a Cricut cutout from Everyday Pop Up Cards Cartridge.

Home made sentiment is MS Word printout using "One Starry Night" Font. Flower is a cutout from Cricut Giant Flowers Cartridge decorated with polka dot brad, mounted ontop of seam binding ribbon bow.

Another fun project to work on has been completed...I am very happy how this card turned out!
I hope you enjoyed this post of mine.
Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by...

QuinceaƱera Dress Form Card

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to show off my latest creation that I made for a friend:

I made a QuinceaƱera Card with a matching Keepsake Box. I used alot of red lace ribbon that I sewed onto red tule and everything is attached to a Cricut cutout from Everyday pop up cards Cartridge. Top part of the dress is a corset template I found on Pinterest and modified it slightly. I stamped it and then heat embossed it with gold powder. I added some gold pearls onto the top of the dress and in the corner of the card. Sentiment is placed on a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die cut and attached with some adhesive foam to give it extra dimension.

I am very happy how this project turned out.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by...

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge Week #223 "Pretty Gifts and Packaging"

Hello everyone,

Another week is almost over, which means getting pretty close to another Challenge deadline. :)
I just could not pass on this challenge by The Shabby Tea Room:

And this is what I made as a response:

This is a favor box for a Tea Party.

I cut out the box using Cricut Tablescapes Spring and Summer Cartridge. The front square embellishment is cut out from Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge stamped with teapot stamp. I added handmade flowers and foliage to the top and side of the front of the box and different size pearls all over the box.

The box perfectly fits individually wrapped teabags and can be used also as a trinket storage later on...

This was such a fun project. I hope you enjoyed this post of mine.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by...

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge Week #222 "Lavender & Lace"

Good Morning everyone,

Again, I barely made it to the challenge...Always too many things on my list and too little time.
This week's inspiration photo was a gorgeous shabby room:

And this is what I have come up with as a response:

I used several layers of patterned cardstock, all with distressed edges; I made flowers from Cricut Flowers Shoppe cutouts and some I distressed with white distress paint. I embellished flowers with pearls and flower picks.

I like to make banner sentiments :) This one I attached to the back of the frame and put a shabby tiny clothespin at the end of it. Love those little things!

I used quite a few embellishments in this card and gave is real nice dimension.

I had fun making this card and I hope you had fun viewing this post. :)
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

House of Cards Blog Hop

Good Morning everyone,

I could not resist to make a card inspired by House of Cards Blog Hop inspiration image:

This is what I created based on that beautiful inspiration photo:

I used patterned paper from Paper Studio "Beach House" and "Timeless Textures" stacks, distressed edges and added some distress white paint as well to give it rustic look.

All the flowers are cut outs from Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge and are embellished with Martha Stewart glitter. I used adhesive foam to attach some of the flower to give this bunch some dimension. The "Love" banner is a "home made" sentiment created in MS Word, the font I used is called "Jellyka Castle's Queen"

I attached seam binding white ribbon bow to teared section of the card and embellished it with crystal button.

I am very please how this card turned out and now I just need to wait for someone to get married so that I can give them this card. :)

OK, that's it for now...need to get the house ready for my son's (my pride and joy) graduation party!!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by...:)

Just a Note

Good Morning everyone,
I have decided to combine two Challenge entries with one card and I am very happy how this project turned out. I combined sketch from Mojo Monday Challenge #348 and The Shabby Tea Room "Vintage Love" theme.
Here are the sketch and inspiration photo from those challenges:

And this is what I have come up with:

I layered my elements based on the sketch and used all the required embellishments of The Shabby Tea Room Challenge: colors, lace/ribbon (I used both), roses and bling/glitter (again I used both :) )

The base cardstock is from DCWV The French Country Stack. I distressed the edges and then added lace rose ribbon for my border. "Just a Note" paper was embossed with Darice embossing folder and distressed with black ink. The writing feathers are cutouts from Cricut Cartridge Art Nouveau decorated with adhesive string pearls. Little birdie is a cutout from Cricut Creative Cards Cartridge. I used seambinding ribbon for my shabby bow and I topped the bow with handmade roses. Love making those roses!!

I hope you enjoyed viewing this post; I sure did enjoy making this card :)
Have a marvelous day and thanks for stopping by!

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #220 "Let's Go for a Ride"

Good Morning everyone,

I barely found some spare time to enter this challenge. Last couple weekends have been very hectic in my household, but I have to find a little bit of spare time for a challenge. :)

Here is the inspiration photo from The Shabby Tea Room:

And my response to it is this:

I used patterned papers from Paper Studio "Beach House" and DCWV "Timeless Textures" stack. Luckily I had a bicycle Cricut cutout from one of their "Cut free for a week offers" from like a year ago. I thought back then I would just cut bunch of them, just in case I needed a bicycle for a card and this was a perfect occasion to use it! :)

I made all the foliage and roses with white cardstock and distressed them with Tim Holtz "Worn Lipstick" Distress Ink. I embellished the card with few pearls here and there as well...

The sentiment on the banner was created with MS Word Program and printed on my printer... The font is called "Lemon Chicken" :)

I attached the bicycle to the card with foam adhesive to give it some dimension and added couple of jumbo pearls on the wheels for a girly girl look :)

This was a fun project and I hope you enjoyed viewing this post.

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by...

Shabby Tea Room "Flowers and Balloons" Challenge

Good Evening everyone,

I have decided to enter the Shabby Tea Room Challenge since creating Shabby cards is my favorite:)

This is what the Challenge inspiration was:

And this is what I have come up with:

I used Tim Holtz pink distressed card stock for my base layer and patterned paper from "Life of the Beach" paper stack. Balloons are Cricut cutouts decorated with itsy bitsy pearls and tiny purple bow.

Bow is made with seambinding ribbons, decorated with handmade flowers and sprinkles of pearls and flower picks. I simply love making those tiny shabby roses! They give such softness to my cards. :)

I had so much fun making this card, and I hope you had fun viewing this post.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

My Flowers and Balloons card was in a very though competition, since there were so many pretty creations in this challenge.
Thank you The Shabby Tea Room DT for choosing my design to be in the top 3!

Simple Elegance

Good Morning everyone,

I have decided to enter this new creation of mine into 2 challenges: House of Cards and Mojo Monday #346

I utilized the sketch from Mojo Monday and color palette from House of Cards Challenge.

I am not quite sure what collection the patterned cardstock came from, it was again just a left over piece that I had laying around. The silver base cardstock is from Recollections glimmer stack, the pink ribbon is American Crafts Scrapbooking adhesive ribbon. I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags die cut for the base of my "Home Made" sentiment that was cut with Cricut Basics circle pattern. I added decorative pearl in pink and white color to give the card some extra elegant look.

All in all, I am very happy how this card turned out.

Here are the challenges that I entered this card into:

I hope you enjoyed viewing this post of mine and that you are having a fabulous day!

House of Cards Challenge

Good Morning everyone,

I decided literately last minute to enter this challenge. (I really linked my post in the last minute of this challenge!)I tried all kinds of color combinations and designs and did not quite like anything I created...and this last minute creation turned out pretty good. At least I think so...
Here is what the challenge theme was:

And this is what I have come up with:

I used some patterned papers from DCWV Timeless Textures Stack, and as you can see plethora of different embellishments:
wooden cage with bird embellishment painted white, white metal key embellishment, lacy pearl ribbon, pearl swirls, individual pearl embellishments and handmade flowers and foliage.

I enjoy making these little flowers, they add such softness to a card.

I hope you enjoyed viewing this post at least as half as much I enjoyed making this card.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by...
