Blue Floral Card

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post of my latest creation:

I decided to create another "canvas" card so I used a piece of cardboard, covered it with scrunched up tissue paper and a layer of gesso. When that was dry, I applied some texture paste through TH Bubble stencil and when that layer was dry I randomly applied Faded Jeans DI.

Then I just layered up different elements to create this design based on Cardabilities #126 sketch.

Flowers are handmade, flourish branches are Cricut cutouts, the frame is resin embellishment inked with Faded Jeans ink and painted with Chipped Sapphire paint. The sentiment is Stamplorations Old Type stamp, stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week#269 "You Are My Sunshine"

Hello everyone,

It is time for a brand new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog and Kirsty is our host this week.
She would like to see alot of YELLOW in our projects and she chose this inspiration photo:

And here is what I made:

I went with a bee theme as you can see...

I created the background using a piece of cardboard covered with scrunched up tissue paper and layer of texture paste applied through a honeycomb stencil...I used wild honey and spiced marmalade distress ink to get to this rich yellow color...

The bee is an Art Nouveau Cricut cutout decorated with some glitter and rhinestones. The seam binding ribbon was hand died with distress inks and the sentiment was computer generated...

One more peek at the card...

Our guest designer this week is Margaretha, please stop by her fabulous blog and check out her work and check out what my team mates created for this week's challenge...I hope you'll join in the fun.

Victorian Tea Party Card

Hello everyone,

Just a real quick post of the card I just made:

I used 7 Dots Studio Soulmates cardstock for my background, what a fantastic set this is and papers are such high quality.

I used Cricut Damask Decor cartridge to cut out my focal embellishment with Tea Pot and the Tea Cup, I inked this assembly with faded jeans distress ink to give it that antique look.

Shabby bow is the seam binding ribbon and I used Prima Say it in Crystals flourishes as my final touches to this card. I hope my coworker will be delighted when she gets it for her birthday :)

Anything But Cute Challenge #3 "Summer Romance"

Hello everyone,

It is already time for challenge #3 over at Anything But Cute and I am hosting it this month. Here is the mood board to inspire you along with all the creations from our team, including mine :)

I would like to see a project with a love theme, sea/beach theme or both, and it must be strongly inspired by the colors of this mood board.

Here is my project:

I'll show you some steps on how I made this decorative box:

I started off with this chocolate box...

Covered it with several layers of gesso...

Painted it with different shades of turquoise paint...and then I got carried away and did not take the rest of the step by step...

Gypsum starfish painted with white paint to match my mood board and cheesecloth...

Heart cutouts, sentiment and lots of real seashells...

Seahorse is a Cricut cutout hiding in a seashell and starfish arrangement...

I hope you enjoyed this way too long post...and that you will join our challenge at Anything But Cute. Please stop by to check out all the fabulous makes from my team mates as well :)
