I picked this photo inspiration to give you some idea and hopefully the card that I made and makes of my team mates will inspire you to create a nautical themed project and join the fun. :)

And here is my nautical card:

As you can see, many textures and nautical objects form inspiration photo came to life in my card :)

To antique my cutouts I used clear crackle paint and then inked everything slightly with antique linen ink...

This card has quite a bit of dimension with all the layers of nautical paper and embellishments...

One more peek at the card...

12 Tags of 2015 June

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post of my version of Tim's Tag for June. The instructions can be found HERE

I followed instructions using supplies on hand...I substituted stripes stencil with burlap stencil and did not have the loop pin..Also I did not have the cutout for the top of the cup, this diecut came with my order from The Funkie Junkie Boutiquie and Linda always sends a little bag of miscellaneous goodies as a token of appreciation, that is how I got this die. :) I lost the top somehow...

I did not have # stamp so I used another TH stamp...Also I used seam binding ribbon instead of linen ribbon...
I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

Cascading Flowers Card

Hello,

just a quick post of the card I made today:

I used a sketch from Cardabilites #125 as my starting point and inspiration from several other challenges to create this card.

The clock is a chip board piece covered with white paint, flowers were all handmade, the branches are Sizzix die cuts...

I created the panels that look like stone wall by using texture paste, brick wall stencil, covered everything with Pearlex pigment powders in pearl white and duo red-blue.

I would like to enter this card into following challenges:

Cardabilities #125

Evolution Scrap "Hanging Gardens of Babylon"

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Don't Cut Just Paste" I used texture paste to create the panels.

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #266 "Die Cut Gold"

Hello everyone,

It is time for a new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog and Ros is our host this week. She would like to see a project that features a die cut(s) in gold.

Here is my creation with a gold die cut:

I used a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die to cut out a piece of cardstock that I painted with gold acrylic paint. This card was made for a lady that celebrated her 98th birthday and loves color red :) Inspiration for this card came from all the wonderful creations of my very dear blog friend Lisa of  A Mermaid's Crafts. Thank you Lisa!

I created the background with texture paste and damask stencil and when that layer was dry I painted everything with red acrylic paint since none of the papers I had were really truly red...

I made the flowers using Spellbinders Flower die embellishing the center with some painted flower stamens and micro beads...The shabby bow was made using seam binding ribbon...

I made a matching box for the card.

Our guest designer this week is Gildett Marillac. Please stop by her blog to check out her fabulous work and say hi :) and also take a peek at my team mates' creations at City Crafter Challenge Blog!

I hope you enjoyed this post...

Guest Appearance at A Vintage Journey Celebration Challenge

Hello everyone,

I am very please to announce my appearance at A Vintage Journey challenge blog for their Celebration challenge.
When I was informed that the theme was Celebration, I immediately knew I was going to create a card and a trinket box for my very dear blog friend Aneta who is getting married this summer.

I started off with plain wooden box:

And ended up with this:

\
I used gesso, Broken China Distress Paint, Clear Crackle Paint, Tim Holtz script and LOVE stamp and embossing powder to create the box.

All the hardware in this project is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection covered with several layers of gesso...

Here you can see the crackle paint effect...

I randomly applied Broken China Distress Paint to give it that work out antique look...

I created this embellishment from several layers of die cuts glued together to give it extra dimension, painted it and stamped it, then heat embossed it. I added pearls to the corners and then painted everything over with crackle paint to give it that aged look...
Now onto my card:

I wanted everything to match so the card just followed the same technique with addition of a hand died shabby bow..

I added a Tim Holtz Idea-ology key attached to the bow with a loop pin..

I would like to thank Brenda and Chris for the opportunity to appear at A Vintage Journey and to invite crafters to join this fabulous challenge!

However I would like to enter my project in following challenges:

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #265 "Tic TAG Toe"

Hello everyone,

It is time for a brand new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog and Kirsty is our host this week.
So, the theme of this week's challenge is: tic TAG toe (create a tag or a project with tag, that's it!)
Here is the inspiration photo for this week:

I created a set of vintage note cards with tags:

Here are some closeups:

I used 5 petal flower punch for my little blooms, added pearls to the centers and dabbed some gesso to give them antique look. I used Tim Holtz script stamp, Stamploration Fancy Feather and Hello stamps, and some seam binding to create this set...

Susan Butler is our guest designer this week. Please stop by her fabulous blog to check out her work and say hi...also check out what the rest of the DT created as inspiration for the challenge.

Anything But Cute Mixed Media Challenge-June "Make It Masculine"

Hello everyone,

It is time for a new Challenge at Anything But Cute! Cec is out host this month and she selected the theme Make It Masculine. “Make a mixed media card or other project for a fellow in your life. It could be for Father’s Day, a Birthday, an Anniversary, of just because you want him to know how special he is. “

When I saw the theme, I immediately knew I wanted to create an industrial looking picture frame, so here it is:

Now to show you what I used to create it:

Then I painted gears, bolts, nuts and all other added trinkets with black acrylic paint. When that was dry I went over everything with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint.

Here are few more pictures of the details...

Please stop by Anything But Cute and check out what fabulous makes my teammies have made for this occasion and I truly hope you'll join the fun!

I would like to enter this altered frame into following challenges:
