Vintage Easter Card

Hello everyone,

I would like to share with you an Easter card that I made for my next door neighbor:

For the first layer I used Pion Design paper from A Day in May collection (PD4404) and for the second layer I used Pion Design paper form Studio of Memories collection (PD1512)
Oh boy, was it hard to cut into those papers?!? They are just too pretty and precious!!!

I made the flowers from white cardstock and then painted them randomly with Antique Linen distress paint. The shabby bow was made using a chalk white seam binding ribbon.

The vintage Easter image was a free printable I found on Pinterest, but I altered the color finish and printed it in Sepia tones. Then I used Spellbinders Fleur de Elegance to die cut the image.

Purple Shabby Butterflies Card

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post of a birthday card I made for a lady that loves anything with butterflies :)

For the base I used 7 dots Studio Soulmates collection 6" x 6" paper and I distressed the edges...

I cut out bunch of little butterflies in 4 different sizes and glued them to the base so that they look like they are just now landing onto this card...a couple of the butterflies landed onto the shabby purple bow. :)

The sentiment is computer generated and printed on vellum.

I made a matching box for the card too...

Anything But Cute Challenge #11 Crazy For Colors

Hello everyone,

It is time for a super fun and bright challenge at Anything But Cute hosted by Branka: Crazy For Colors!!!

Spring is coming – a time of the year that brings amazingly beautiful colors! To celebrate it, we would like you to create a mixed media project using vibrant colors. It can be a tag, a card, an art journal page or anything else. Just be sure it’s vibrant!

I went with super bright and neon colors:

This is what I used to create the card:

I painted a piece of heavy weight water color paper with neon yellow paint and added some texture paste through the geometric stencil by My Favorite Things, the stencil is Mona Pendleton Design :)

I used the hand made flowers to create the floral arrangement. and a few of bright pink rhinestones just because.

I hope you stop by Anything But Cute and check out what my team mates created for this challenge inspiration and that you will join our fun and bright challenge.

Scrapy Land Challenge #37 Anything Goes

Hello all,

It is time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land Blog and Challenge #37 brings Anything Goes using dies that Scrapy Land sells.

Here is my inspiration piece:

The base is blueish grey piece of cardstock embellished with texture paste only in bottom right corner. I added two vellum  English Tea Party Doilies underneath that base cardstock.
Then I used a piece of cheese cloth and a shabby ribbon flower and to build this leafy floral arrangement. I used Cheery Lynn Designs Leafy Flourish and  Memory Box Botanical Stem for the floral arrangement.

Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1  was used to create the banner, just use the same die for both ends, and you'll have that effect...little creativity goes a long way :)

Please take some time to check out wonderful creations that my dear team mates made for your inspiration and I truly hope you will join our challenge. You could win $15 gift certificate for Scrapy Land Store!!! Pretty cool, huh??

Butterfly Birthday Card

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post of a card I made for my dear friend's birthday:

I created a background by heat embossing faded text stamp with white embossing powder. Then I applied Dusty Concord DI, heavily to the edges and lightly to the centers of the papers.

I used Tim Holtz butterfly stamp and die to cut out 3 butterflies and layer them for extra dimension...

I kept the card simple and only added a little bit of Baby's Breath and white ribbon...wanted to keep a focus on the text background and butterfly.

Masquerade Card

Hello everyone,

I would like to share with you a card I just made:

I created a background by painting One Step Crackle over a piece of black card stock. I taped the edges of that piece to get that black "frame" around the gold, which I applied after the clear crackle layer was dry...

The close up isn't that fabulous, but you can kinda see the crackle...

I layered a Spellbinders die first, then the frame I made by cutting several frames from Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge and gluing them together. The frame was then covered with Black Soot Distress Paint, tons of liquid pearl dots and after all was dry, a thick layer of crackle paint and some Deco Art Gold Rush Metallic Lustre.
The little masks are Verve Stamps diecuts, stamped with a matching stamp and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

Some hand made golden tissue paper flowers and a crinkled rustic bow to add extra volume and elegance...
