Shabby Sunshine Birthday Card

Hello everyone,
just a quick post of a card my coworker asked me to make for her daughter:

My coworker calls her daughter Sunshine all the time, so she asked me to create a card with that theme...
I used many layers of distressed edges cardstock in different colors. The top layer has texture paste stencil pattern. As you can see I did alot of liquid pearl embellishing.

Just a closeup of the sun :)

Birthday Banner and the Shabby bow...

Side view reveals the 3D look of the sun...

I created a box for the card too...

I am entering this card into following challenged:

Seize The Birthday

and

Simply Create Too #76 "Let's Celebrate"

I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

  1. Samra, this is fabulous! I feel like I was transported to sunny beach somewhere, where the water is crisp and clear and the seagulls are flying overhead (there may also have been a Pina Colada somewhere is this vision) lol. I just love how you used by big layered sun, it's such a perfect way to honour her daughter's nickname of Sunshine! They will both cherish this wonderful work of art! LOVE your white texture paste on the bright aqua card stock, what a stunning contrast and all your pearl drops are amazing!! Another gorgeous work my dear! big hugs, have a great weekend :)

    1. Thank you Pamellia! I had hard time find inspiration to create this one, cause the theme was supposed to be Sunshine...I was like, what am I supposed to do now??? So I figured just to cut that big sun and add couple side details...turned out OK...I hope they like it...

  5. Oh how lovely. And how wonderfully personal for the mom and daughter. I love how you used the liquid pearls. And did you handwrite the sentiment? So cool. Thanks for joining the fun at Simply Create Too, too.

    1. My coworker was thrilled with it, and said she was sure her daughter would love it. My coworker even said she was going to purchase a shadow bow for it, since it will be a keepsake. I love when I hear things like that, people actually framing the cards I made. I know of several that already did that :) Anyways I am so happy to hear you like this card, always such a pleasure to see you visit!
