Altered Tea Can

Hello everyone,

Here I come with another project. :) I created a shabby chic container that can be used as pen holder, or as a nik-nak container. I use it as a paintbrush holder. :) I used an old tea container to create it.

I used white spray paint for my base layer and then added crackle spray paint to give rustic look to it.

I used vintage script cardstock from DCWV Bella Armoire Stack to cover the can. I added pink and white handmade flowers and a key that I spray painted white.

I created quadruple shabby bow with dark and light pink seam binding and embellished it with rustic metal flower embellishment.

I made the flowers using Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge cutouts and soaking them slightly in pink colored water to give them that worn, shabby look. Love that technique! I just learned it recently and am using it when ever I can. :)

You can see the triple layer of flower ribbon that goes all around the can...

So I started off with this...

...and ended up with this! :)

I am entering this project into following challenges:

Divas by Design "Anything but a card"
Just Us Girls Challenge Color Week#259
Try it on Tuesday "Recycle it"
Vintage Cafe Card Challenge "My Vintage Home"

I hope you enjoyed this post. I sure had alot of fun creating this one...
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by...
Samra

    1. Thank you so much Pamellia! I hope you don't mind me kinda following you and entering into challenges you are part of. I don't mean to compete with you, since my work is nothing comparing to yours, I am just trying to expose my blog to wider audience...And my paint brushes were sitting in that "before" can all the way till yesterday. Anything But A Card and Recycle it challenges made me do something about that. Thank you again for always making my day with your visits! Your comments always lift my spirit. :) Till your next gorgeous project, big hugs :)
