House of Cards Challenge

Hello everyone,
What can I say? I just love making cards...Here is another creation of mine that I am entering into House of Cards Challenge April Challenge #2 CAS and/or Classic/Elegant.
Here is the assignment sketch:

And this is my creation:

I am very happy how this card turned out.
I used cardstock from different collections, mostly scraps I had. The butterfly is a cutout from Cricut Tablescapes Spring and Summer Cartridge. I decorated Butterfly with some jumbo pearls and landed it on a silk bow. Square die cuts are from Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares and the bigger one is attached to the card with mounting tape to give it some dimension.

Well, that's it for this week...
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous day...

Mojo Monday Card Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!
I finally got some courage to start entering card challenges...last week I entered a challenge for the first time and had lots of fun making the card for it, so here I am again entering another challenge: Mojo Monday :)
Here is the assignment:

And here is what I have come up with:

All the cardstock used for this project is from various Recollection collections. I used Cricut Sophisticated Cartridge to cut out the flower border and decorated the center of each flower with large pearls. Blue cardstock is embossed with Darice embossing folder. Yellow square was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Classic Squares Small. I used Cricut Alphabet Doily #7 for the sentiment background and sentiment was cut out with ek scalloped cycrle. Both were attached to background with a itsy bitsy close pin. Love those little things! :)

The bright pink floral heart is a Martha Stewart clay mold and the last little touch was a small butterfly cut out with Cricut Tablescapes Spring and Summer Cartridge, decorated with pearls and landed onto the floating heart.

I had so much fun creating this card and I hope you are enjoying the view of it. :)

Have a fabulous weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by...

Vintage Cafe Card Challenge

Good Morning,
I am so happy to announce I entered Vintage Cafe Card Challenge! This is the first time ever that I am entering any card challenge. The theme of this challenge is lilac or lavender.

So, I decided to make a 3-D lilacs for my card. I used Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge to cut half inch flowers which I then shaped and decorated with Ranger White Opal liquid pearls. Then I made two paper cones and glued the flowers onto the cones with hot glue.
I also made roses and other flowers you see in this bouquet, some I distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Paint and for the center of the flower I used flower trims.

The card measures 5" x 7" and has multiple layers of distressed patterned paper and cardstock. Embossed die cuts are from Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles and Fancy Tags Two.

I found this beautiful clock face in Tim Holtz Paper Stash "Lost and Found", to me it sure was lost treasure that I have found. :)

I used Seambinding to created the bow.

I have used MS Word program to create most of the sentiments on the cards I make. I find this method more rewarding since it gives me freedom to create different sentiment each time. Possibilities are endless... as long as you are creative. The font I used for the sentiment on this card is 1942 Report. It is one of my favorites.
I found inspiration for this card in this beautiful wedding bouquet.

Anyways, I had lots of fun creating this card and am very happy with end result.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day.
Thanks for stopping by.

Shabby Sweetness

Good Morning everyone,
Just wanted to share with you card I made for Mother's Day..
...lots of handmade flowers and a resin frame; then some pink pearl swirls, couple die-cuts and voila!

I added this card to my Etsy Shoppe and am hoping it will find a happy home :)

As you can see this card comes with a keepsake box. I love making matching boxes for my cards! It keeps the card from any damages and it makes such a statement when you are giving a card.

I hope you are having a great day!
