Anything But Cute Challenge #8 You've Got Happy Mail

Hello everyone,

It is time for a new challenge over at Anything But Cute and this month's hostess is our fabulous Niki! She chose the theme of mixed media holiday cards.

“We all like Happy Mail right? That feeling of being spoiled rotten when you receive a handmade card from someone is better than being wrapped up in a soft blanket near a fire, sipping on a hot latte. So, for this challenge I would love to see some mixed media Christmas cards inspired by the spirit of the season.”, Niki says…

So here is what I made:

And the pictures will show you the process. I have to give the credit to this blog for the door and stone-like wall around the door tutorial. I used a very thick cardboard and egg carton to create door and stone wall...

...and when it's all put together we have the door with holiday wreath and a holiday warm wishes sign :)

I added a couple of jingle bells, bow and some bling to my wreath, just to spruce it up a little bit :)

I used a vintage Prima brad for my door handle...

Please stop by Anything But Cute to see what fabulous makes my team mates have to offer you as an inspiration...OK, now it is your turn!!!

I would like to enter this card into following challenges:
Let's Craft and Create challenge #108 Christmas
Scrap and Craft challenge #16 "Anything Christmas" ( I have my festive Christmas Wreath hanging on the door)
That's Crafty Season's Greetings Challenge
Through the Craftroom Door Anything Goes

I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by...

  5. BRILLIANT work of art, Samra! You have taken such care to ensure the details of this door and brick wall are spot on! And the lovey fluffy wreath is just the icing on the cake! If you hadn't included all those wonderful step by step photos, I would have guessed you carved this door out of a wood block, it is SO stinkin' realistic! I think you need to quit your daytime job and start a dollhouse making business! SUPER-CAL-A-FRAGE-A-LISTIC! Lucky, lucky friend or family member who receives this over the top Happy Mail! Well done, my friend! Big hugs!
