City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #271 "Hemp and Twine Will Be Fine"

Hello everyone,

It is a new challenge time at City Crafter Challenge Blog and Stella is our host requesting to make a project using hemp cord or twine, no ribbon or lace.

This is the inspiration photo:

And this is a package of goodies sponsored by our lovely hostess Stella that winner would receive!

And here is what I made:

I used a piece of heavy chipboard and covered it with gesso and applied texture paste through TH stencil.

I added some distress ink, handmade flowers and cut out a few banner from scraps..

I added white hemp cord...

..and made a matching box for my card...

Guest designer this week is Lise. Please stop by to check out her work as well as what my team mates have made for this challenge...get inspired and join in the fun!

I would like to enter this card into following challenges:

Mixed Media Place Creative Gym Exercise #10 "One Important Word" Mine is "Cherish" We take life and things around us for granted most of the time and forget to cherish life, and all that makes it possible...

I hope you enjoyed this post...
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by...

  5. Just stunning Samra! I love the soft colours, so muted and romantic and the use of white hemp perfectly compliments the shabby chic feel of this! Love the texture, it's subtle and adds interest without stealing focus from your drop dead gorgeous flowers! Well done my friend. hugs :)

  7. Sooooo, is the message on this card to cherish strawberries? Because I do! I love them to pieces and I think it's gorgeous that you replicated the texture of it onto the card and made an edible element so shabby chic. The irony that a strawberry is red and yet here it's white and the pop of color is blue. It's like a mind trip..I love it!!!
    Big hugs to you,
