Butterfly Birthday Card

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post of a card I made for my dear friend's birthday:


I created a background by heat embossing faded text stamp with white embossing powder. Then I applied Dusty Concord DI, heavily to the edges and lightly to the centers of the papers.


I used Tim Holtz butterfly stamp and die to cut out 3 butterflies and layer them for extra dimension...


I kept the card simple and only added a little bit of Baby's Breath and white ribbon...wanted to keep a focus on the text background and butterfly.

  6. Breathtaking, Samra! From the color (LOVE!) to the texture of the background to that fabulous 3D butterfly--I love it all. He looks as if he is about to flutter off the card! And that baby's breath and the unique way you've added the ribbon just makes this card so extra special! Big hugs!

  14. Samra, this is just too beautiful for words. Firstly I adore the softness of the colour palette. The embossing gives the whole project an ethereal quality and the exquisite butterfly adds luxurious dimension. An absolutely gorgeous make.
