Coffee Lover Birthday Exploding Box Card

Hello everyone,

I made this exploding box birthday card for a young lady that is a huge coffee lover. I love coffee, but she loves it A LOT!
Anyways here is what I created for her:

I had to leave behind my usual style of shabby chic and create something modern for this young lady. I made a coffee mug using Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge and added some fluffed up cotton to get the look of frothed coffee.

I typed word coffee in different languages on a piece of vellum and attached it to one of the panels with two cute clothes pins.

I used chipboard letter stickers by American Crafts to create sentiments on other three panels.

I made a gift card holder and attached it to one of the panels. I don't think I even have to mention that gift card holder carried a gift card from her favorite coffee shop. :)

This is how the card looks like closed...

I am entering this project to the following challenges:

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop at Amy Tsuruta's blog Tsurutadesigns.blogspot.com

and

Seize the Birthday "Anything goes Birthday" challenge

I hope you liked this post.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by....

  4. Holy cow Samra, what an amazing project! She is going to love this! Amazing job matching up all your different papers and embossed patterns, what a gorgeous flow you created! The scrabble tile sentiments are amazing, think you have sold me on trying to get my hands on some of those! The coffee cup is pure genius and I have to say that the froth looks so real that I'm on my way to the kitchen to make myself a frapp! YUM! You are such a creative genius and I am loving this modern style creation! holiday hugs until next time my friend! :)

    1. I wish you could see me grinning over here! I am so glad to hear you approve! You know I am like a fish out of the water when I make modern stuff, but I have to fit the recipient's likes and style...I kept trying to reach for the distressing tool! I also made a card for my friend that is ultra modern so last weekend I was sooo drained with projects that are not my style, but the end result was great since all the recipients were thrilled, and that is what matters, seeing that huge smile on people's faces when they get a card I made. Have a great day my friend! See you on the dance floor :)
