It is my great honor to announce my appearance as a Guest Designer at The Shabby Tea Room this week! The Shabby Tea Room Challenge "Waiting for Santa" is inspired by a photo that I will show you later in the post, but first let me show you the card I create for this Guest Designer appearance:
and here is the inspiration photo:
I did not feel I had to improvise much with my card since the inspiration photo was so gorgeous and of course inspiring, I just went ahead and created a card based on exactly what is in the photo...
I used two different embossing folders to emboss the stockings. The edges were inked with antique linen and the top of each was decorated with pearl and flower ribbons. The strings that are hanging off the stockings were created with satin ribbons embellished with assorted color adhesive pearls.
I created this bow using pink and light brown seam binding ribbon and embellished it with a rustic metal flower.
The sentiment banner as well as the mantle were covered with clear crackle paint.
One more look at the finished card...
I am entering this card into following challenges:
Crafty Creations Challenge #277 Embossing
Just us girls Challenge #269 "Anything Goes"
Try it on Tuesday "Christmas is Coming"
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by...
